Live care homes

Multiple disciplines in homes that stayed open

JRG Projects delivers electrical, active and passive fire, and refurbishment works site-wide in fully operational care homes, with no need to decant residents and day-to-day routines continuing throughout. Works are phased to maintain safe access around residents, staff and site teams. The examples below show the breadth of what we deliver, not the limit of it.

Working in a live home

  • Phasing agreed with the home manager before we start — room by room, area by area
  • Working hours, noise and access planned around residents' routines
  • Work areas segregated and left clean and safe at the end of every shift
  • One site team and one point of contact across every trade

Resident liaison handled

Notification letters, appointments and access are managed by our team, with no-access cases escalated to you. Resident communication, property protection, no-access escalation and complaint handling are agreed with you before works begin.

One contractor for renovation works such as ceilings, lighting, fire alarms and bathrooms means one programme, one induction and fewer people through the home.

How we work with you

A clear route from scope to handover

The same four stages on every job, whatever the discipline.

1

Scope and price

We price from your drawings, specification, schedule or fire risk assessment, and set out inclusions, exclusions and design responsibility in writing.

2

Plan the programme

Sequencing, resources, trade interfaces and access are agreed before we start, including resident letters and appointments in occupied buildings.

3

Deliver and report

A named site lead, weekly progress reporting, documented coordination with the other trades, and variations agreed before additional works are carried out.

4

Test, certify and hand over

Inspection, testing and snag close-out, followed by the certificates and records for your files.

What you receive at handover

  • Test results and certification for the completed works
  • Photographic installation and completion records
  • Work locations and completion status, item by item
  • O&M and as-built information where in scope
